Heroes have a thousand faces and somehow they find the strength and courage to overcome enormous obstacles to help another. The American Red Cross Kern Chapter honors our local heroes at the Real Heroes Dinner on Saturday, April14th, 2012. Please join us to celebrate this very special group of ordinary people who have exhibited extraordinary valor in the face of adversity. This event was celebrated last year with over 300 community leaders, corporate partners, and supporters of the American Red Cross. This quiet group of extraordinary people exemplifies the mission of the American Red Cross. The Red Cross provides relief to victims of disasters by helping people prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies. Last year our local Kern Chapter responded to over 120 disasters, trained over 10,000 individuals in life saving skills, and assisted over 350 military members and their families. The American Red Cross was there when needed. MUSIC. COCKTAILS. FOOD.
